It is hard to describe the wonder and beauty of bald eagles in the wild. I am in awe of the fact that they nest and winter so close to my home. I usually spend a part of each day observing and photographing the pair, learning more about their habits and behavior. On this particular day , I found the eagle perched in a dead tree along the River Road in Plainfield. Such an unimpeded shot is not normally the case, as they perch often in pine trees. The clearing blue sky was an additional photographic plus. What a beautiful sight.
