I am always amazed at the size of the fish presented to the new hatchlings, and their valiant efforts to wolf it down.  This photo was taken on day one, with the chicks fresh from the nest .  In my past experience,  the parents would bring food and make many attempts to offer the fish to the youngsters. This year the chicks alwasy seemed eager and very ready to eat.,  Even on day one, they  worked so hard to swallow this large breakfast treat.
