The Bald Eagle Nest on the CT. River in Orford is relatively new to the area. This spring the eagle pair successfully raised 2 fledglings who finally left the nest in early July. This photo was taken from my Kayak in June....the youngsters were just becoming clearly visible above the rim of the nest.
