This sunset on the last day of summer was absolutely spectacular; the sky was slightly overcast until moments before sunset, when the sun dropped down from behind the clouds. The spectacle then began. The sky was such a brilliant shade of soft rose red and then deep angry red, that cars were pulling off the road to watch the show. What a beautiful end to a wonderful New England summer.
